A blog about cooking, food, shopping, gardening, and anything else I want. I'll show you what it's like to be good at everything, but truly great at -- well, nothing. Enjoy :)

Texas is obviously boycotting global warming.

Since when does it snow -- I mean really snow -- in west Texas? Since this year, that's when. School today was cancelled, with no argument from me, and we had an easy 5 inches on the ground. By Boston standards, that probably isn't much, but that's a blizzard out here.

Last night, the neighbors across the street were flamingoed. Yep, flamingoed. Like the pink plastic lawn ornaments circa retirement village Florida. It's a fad I've noticed around here lately. This morning, the plastic birds were snowed in (poor things!).

Since it snowed today, and the furthest from the house I got was about 18" outside the front door to take the flamingo picture, the dogs spent most of the day inside with me. Restless at first, they calmed down eventually. Why do I even buy two dog beds? Charlie is the pointer, with the brown face, and that's Addie with the spotted nose. Cute, huh?
